Music Event & News Update Pattaya: BURIN & THE OLD SCHOOL ALL STARS LIVE at THE SOUL LOUNGE SESSIONS - HARD ROCK HOTEL PATTAYA
Thailand’s Godfather of Disco and Funk, Burin Boonvisut will perform LIVE at The Soul Lounge, Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya on Saturday 18 February 2012 from 9.30PM onwards.
Burin Boonvisut, former lead vocal of Groove Riders and leader of The Old School All Stars, will be going through originals as well as classics – all with the definitive soulful-funky-disco-boogie vibe that has made him a star performer in Bangkok and beyond. Gran Turismo, his brilliant solo album, was one of the hottest music projects in Thailand in recent years, with great reviews, and popular and critical acclaim. This is the fruit of the labour in years of collaborating in live-shows and co-productions with other top musicians from Thailand and abroad; Benny Golson, Boy-Trai Phumrat, Groove Riders, Siam Secret Service, Soul After Six, Lek T-Bone, Methee ModernDog, Solid State from the UK and more.
The Old School All Stars is an 11-piece ensemble, complete with a Brass & Horn Section (just like the olden days), and features several ‘Star’ guests that are Stars and band leaders in their own right.
The Soul Lounge at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya is a new and sexy destination bar created as part of its renovation that was completed in December 2011. It is the venue in Pattaya for cool, soulful and jazzy sounds, in lush and luxurious surrounds where sassy cocktails and perfect small bites are served, with live music during the weekends, and the monthly Soul Lounge Session, when a headline live act is invited to play. The inaugural Soul Lounge Sessions is such an event, with Bruin & The Old School Old Stars.
Following Burin & The Old School All Stars is Der & Friends, a cool trio playing live soul, jazz and bossa sounds at the Soul Lounge, till late.
Tickets are available at THB 500 per person, which includes one drink, or THB 2,000 for a Bottle Package of one bottle of Chivas with mixer and ice PLUS tickets for 4 person. All ticket holders can enjoy a 20% discount at The Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya, all other restaurants & bars at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, and at the Foam X Saturday night Pool Party following the show.
