Music Event & News Update Pattaya City: Hugo Live at Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya
From being a Thai teen idol to the first Thai solo artist signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label, Hugo Chulachak Chakrabongse will perform live on 26 March 2012 at Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya, in an one-off concert sponsorsed by Singha in Pattaya.
A dedicated songwriter, musician and performer, Hugo is best known for his bluegrass cover of Jay-Z’s ’99 Problems” which quickly gained fans in the US. His artistic career has started since his young teen as a songwriter, lead vocal and guitarist in the band, Siplor in 2001.
He gained international recognition from ‘Disappear’ - the song he wrote, which was later added onto Beyonce’s album ‘I am..Sassha Fierce’. His talent was captured by Jay-Z who later invited him to sign as a solo artist under the Roc Nation Label. He covered ‘99 Problems’, Jay-Z’s hit in his album, Old Tyme Religion. Besides this, his song ‘Bread and Butter’ was also featured in the Victoria’s Secret’s swimwear campaign and popular American series ‘90210’, ‘Entourage’ and ‘Castle.’
